19 Pawfect Facts About The Bolonoodle For Kids

Here are some more crossbred Bolonoodle facts like training, grooming, and energy levels.)

Bolonoodle is a cross hybrid dog that was first developed around 2005. Crossbreeding between a Poodle and a Bolognese results in what we call a Bolonoodle or Bolopoo. This dog is one of the cutest beings you will ever come across. Standing at a height of just 12 in (30 cm), this dog is very family-oriented and a very friendly dog, who would be loved by each person in your family. It comes under the category of companion dogs and with its intelligence and playful nature, it truly justifies this tag.

Both parents, Bolognese and Poodle have quite some history themselves. The Bolognese dog is a true companion dog and over the years it has completely transformed into a pet dog. Being a small dog, it is perfect for people living in apartments. Its history can be traced back to the 13th century where it was regarded as a prized possession and was given as gifts to the royal families. When the revolution started, royal families started to die out and these dogs were either killed by their families or abandoned. During this time, the breed was on the verge of getting extinct. It was then in the 1980s that an Italian breeder tried to get the breed back.

On the other hand, known to have been developed in Germany, the Poodle breed is divided into four varieties based on their size, the standard Poodle, medium Poodle, miniature Poodle, and toy Poodle. This breed is popularly known for its high intelligence and athleticism, the reason why they were usually employed in circuses in France. It was in these times that Poodles were bred down in size and the miniature Poodle was developed. The toy Poodle was created in the 20th century again by breeding down the miniature Poodle in size, and on the other hand, the miniature Poodle is not a universally recognized breed.

Inheriting good traits of both the parents, a Bolonoodle is one of the most appropriate dogs to be kept as a pet. They have an adorable single-layer muzzle that requires medium grooming and health checkups.  If you loved reading about this dog, check out Labrador retriever facts and toy poodle facts.
