Most owners opt for high-quality dry food for their Mi ki dog as it is readily available and nutritionally complete. But, before you select the right kibble for them, there are some things that you have to consider, or else your dog will face some health issues.

The first one is that the ingredients should be natural and high grade without any cheap fillers, colors, or artificial additives. The second is that meat should be a primary ingredient followed by fiber and healthy fats. Remember that since Mi ki is a small-breed dog, they must be fed commercial dog food specially formulated for dogs from small breeds. They need dog food that has been designed to meet their high-energy demands. If you have a small-breed dog such as Mi ki, you would know what high energy levels they have.

Apart from their small toy-breeds formula, the Mi ki dog also needs an appropriate kibble according to their age. If you are not able to find a high-grade dog food that is appropriate for your little dog, it is best to consult your vet. They have a better knowledge of the specific requirements of your pup. If you are in doubt, don’t be afraid to ask them.

There is another important thing that you have to consider regarding the diet of your little Mi ki dog breed. They shouldn’t be free-fed as they are prone to obesity and other health issues. On average, your dog won’t need anything more than a full cup of kibble daily. The manufacturer usually prints out the guide on the back so that you can know the exact amount you are supposed to feed your dog. Make sure that you split the daily kibble dose into at least two small meals to promote better digestion and prevent bloating. Your tiny pooch will be more than ready to overeat at all times, but it is your responsibility to monitor their portions carefully so that they have improved long-term health. So, regardless of how much they beg and give you puppy eyes, you need to stay strong and keep them trim.
