But the next generation of spotted kittens was unique with short hair and sharp wild features. These cinnamon spotted kittens were named 'Ocicat' due to their resemblance with 'Ocelot', a wild cat native to the US, Mexico, and South America. Virginia Daly's daughter named this second-generation breed - an Ocicat as 'Tonga'. Later, Tonga was sold as a pet.
