25 Best Polar Express Quotes About The Magic Of Christmas

'The Polar Express' quotes are extremely memorable.

Written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, 'The Polar Express' is a book that was first published in 1985.

It is a story about a young boy who boards a magical train to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Based on the book, a computer-animated movie was made in 2004.

For all of us, December is the season of joy and festivity. People give each other gifts, spend time with the family, read good books and have good food. One of the most integral parts about this time of year is Santa Claus. In this book, we see the protagonist has become skeptical about the existence of Santa Claus and is lying on his bed, waiting to see if his disbelief in magic will be proven. He doesn't believe the things he can't see. At five minutes to midnight, he spots a train, named The Polar Express, waiting on his doorstep, bound to the North Pole. After some initial hesitance, he finally boards the train in his PJs and is sent on a journey of friendship, courage, and belief. After reaching the North Pole, Santa gives him the first gift of Christmas, a bell, which he couldn't hear until he truly believed in the existence of Santa.

Years later he says, the sleigh bell stopped ringing for older people around him, including his sister Sarah, since they slowly stopped believing in the true spirit of Christmas. However, even though he grows old, the bell still rings for him, causing him to take a trip down the memory lane and recollect Santa's wise words, "Remember the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart."
