Weekdays until 31 May 2019, usually between 10:00am and 4:00pm. It's free to drop in. Friday's Rhymetime sessions are at 11:30am-12:00pm.
The Barbican Centre is a 7-minute walk from Barbican, St Paul’s and Moorgate Tube stations. The venue is also served by the 153 bus route. The main entrance is on Silk Street, but you can also enter on Level 2 if you’re coming via the walkways. If driving, put EC2Y 8DS into your SatNav.
There is pay and display parking in the Barbican car parks - these are also accessible via a ramp on Level G. The car parks are accessed via Silk Street or via the Beech Street tunnel. To park on Level G, enter the car park via Beech Street (car park 5 and 4). Parking can also be booked online in advance, and costs £5 for up to 1 hour, then an additional £2.50 for every hour after that.
There is lift access throughout the Barbican Centre - the only area that is not accessible by buggy is Level M, a small mezzanine level where the Information Desk is. You can leave your buggy at the top of the short staircase right next to it. The Conservatory can be reached via the main lifts (press Level 3), but there are stairs in some areas within it.
There are baby-changing facilities on every floor. On Level G they can be found by the Curve Gallery.
If you’re meeting other families with buggies, a good meeting point would be Benugo on Level G. There are lots of seating areas around it where you can sit and eat your own food and it’s near the Squish Space room and the Curve Gallery. There is a free cloakroom outside the Art Gallery on Level 3 during exhibition hours (a voluntary £2 contribution is suggested to support the Barbican’s charitable activities). There is a cash point on Level 2, by the Library. Scooters are allowed on the walkways but are not recommended inside.
