The best way to get to the Southbank Centre is to head to Waterloo station. Cross the road under the bridge and follow the inevitable crowd that will be heading to the Underbelly Festival London.
Parking is very limited in the area, so we suggest going by public transport. There is free parking for Royal Festival Hall visitors in the nearby National Theatre for Blue Badge holders.
There are no changing facilities at Underbelly Festival.
Buggies can be can be left with front of house staff, but at the owner's own risk. The grass is fake astroturf, which is usually fine for wheelchairs, but may not be suitable after heavy rain, depending on a wheelchair users' mobility.
Head to award-winning family institution Caffe Vergnano 1882 at the Southbank Centre for excellent pizzas, pastas and other Italian dishes. Kidadler Tracy recommends Canteen. She says, "We headed to Canteen for lunch - one of our favourite grown up but super kid-friendly places to eat which is directly under the Southbank building."
All customers require a ticket, with the exception of babies under 6 months old, who go for free. Please print out your Kidadl booking confirmation to show on arrival. Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
