6 April to 2 June 2019. However, the zoo is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Don't arrive too late as some animal exhibits close up to 30 minutes before closing time.
The nearest stations are Luton and Hemel Hempstead, both of which are a 20-minute taxi ride away. If you come by car, it's 20 minutes from junction 21 of the M25.
There are two parking options if you come by car. The first is to park for free in the zoo's external car park just outside the main entrance. The other option is to drive into the zoo and park in specified areas (costing up to £25).
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is reasonably buggy and wheelchair-friendly, with ramps instead of steps in most places, plus accessible toilets. Check the venue's website for specific details as some areas cannot be accessed with wheelchairs.
There are loads of family-friendly food options at the zoo, including the great value Base Camp Restaurant for quick meals, the new River Cottage Kitchen and Deli (which offers smaller portions of adult dishes for little ones), and Hullabazoo Kids Café, whose Kids' Bites offer lets you get five items for £5, as well as homemade sandwiches, salads, baked goods and more.
Tickets are non-refundable. Kidadl customers to show printed booking confirmation upon arrival to gain entry. Your ticket includes entry to the zoo and the Great Brick Safari. Your pass is valid for one day.
