Feel like having a royally good day in the English countryside? This day trip from London is perfect! Embark on a luxury coach trip from London to Blenheim Palace and Windsor and discover the very best of British heritage. You'll get the chance to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace & Gardens and then journey through Windsor, where you'll have time to go on a guided walking tour or make up your own route through the town. You may even have time to visit the castle!

Blenheim Palace in  Oxfordshire is an 18th century, non-royal palace just eight miles from Oxford, and an hour and a half from London. It is currently occupied by the 12th Duke of Marlborough, and was the childhood home of Winston Churchill from his birth until he was two years old. He also proposed to his wife in the grounds, and was a frequent visitor. An expert guide will take you around the Palace, and be able to explain its fascinating and dramatic history.

The house is decorated to the nines, and feels royal even if it technically isn’t. Enjoy the State Rooms, with their gorgeous vintage furniture, as well as the mass of art. Out of its 2000 acres, there are 150 acres of some of the beautiful gardens in Oxfordshire to explore, which show the changing tastes of the time. Discover The Secret Garden, a whole new world, or feel like royalty walking around the Formal Gardens. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, including picnic spots.

Windsor is perfectly situated as it’s an hour away from Blenheim Palace and from London. How you spend your time in the city is totally up to you; you can choose to do a guided Windsor walking tour, or create a Windsor tour of your own, including the castle if you wish to.

There’s plenty to see on the cobbled streets of Windsor. Whether a castle visit is on the cards or not, you can enjoy watching the guards march through the town to go to different barracks. Pop into St George’s Chapel and discover where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were married. Stroll through Windsor Great Park, and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Follow the walkways and discover three free Eton College museums.
