While many consider Asia a subcontinent of Eurasia, it is undoubtedly one of the most significant geographical regions on Earth.

The Asian continent covers a significant part of Earth's total land area. The Asian continent spans over 8.7% of the planet's total surface area and covers around 30% of the land area of Earth.

While it is the largest continent in terms of the geographical area covered, it is also home to around 60% of the world's population.

At the same time, several archeological studies have revealed that some of the first civilizations were developed on this continent. The continent includes 49 UN members from India, Pakistan, SriLanka, South Korea, China, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, and others.

The continents of Asia and Europe are known to share a unique cultural and historical construct, as there is no distinct geographical boundary that separates the two continents.
