In 1993, she released her debut album 'Do You Wanna Ride?', under the label Mecca Don? EastWest Records. The album bagged the ninth position in the US R&B peak chart. The hit song from that album' Freak Like Me', received the Platinum certificate, which was eventually certified gold. In 1996, Warren G and Adina collaborated for the Police Story 3: Super Cop soundtrack with the song 'What's LoveGot To Do With It'. The song was a massive hit: No. 36 on the Hot 100, No. 2 on the UK charts, and No. 32 on R&B. Jackie Chan was featured in its music video.

Her second album's release was in 1997. It was titled 'Welcome to Fantasy Island'. It was a modest hit. '(Freak) And U Know It' was its lead single. In the same year, she sang with the Hip-Hop group PYG'z and Yuck Mouth on the song 'Been Around The World'. In 2004 she released her third album, 'The Second Comming', which did not perform well. The year 1997 was her acting debut in the independent film 'High Frequency'. The movie starred actors Deon Richmond and John Witherspoon. She acted in another film that remained unreleased. It is titled 'Casanova's Demise'. She appeared in the movie 'Poke the Sleeping Beer' in 2008. A documentary titled 'Adina Howard 20: A Story of Sexual Liberation' was out on May 6, 2015.
