Adriana Caselotti provided the voice of Snow White in Disney's 'Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs' and became a Disney legend. She appeared as a guest on an episode of 'The Julie Andrews Hour'.

She tried opera singing and invested in real estate and the stock market while living a full life. When the Snow White Grotto at Disneyland underwent renovation in the early '90s, Caselotti, then 75 years old, re-recorded 'I'm Wishing' for the Snow White Wishing Well display.

Adriana Caselotti was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA, on May 16, 1916. Guido Caselotti, her father, was an immigrant from Udine who worked as a vocal coach and music educator. Maria Orefice (1893–1961), a singer at the Royal Opera Theatre of Rome, was born in Naples. Louise Caselotti, her older sister, taught voice lessons and performed in opera (for example, to Maria Callas).

Caselotti's family moved to Italy when she was seven years old, while her mother went on tour with an opera company. While her mother was an opera singer, Adriana Caselotti attended school at San Getulio, a convent in Rome. Three years later, when her family moved back to New York, Caselotti had to relearn English while continuing her father's singing lessons. Adriana Caselotti studied at Hollywood High School in 1934, where she participated in the Senior Girls' Glee Club and played Fifi Fricot in the production of The Belle of New York.

Adriana Caselotti married Dr. Joseph Dana Costigan, a podiatrist, in the same year. Dr. Costigan passed away in 1982. Adriana Caselotti wed Florian St. Pierre, a retired postal worker, in 1989; the couple later got divorced.

After a brief stint working at MGM as a chorus girl and session singer, Caselotti was selected by Walt Disney in 1935 to be the voice of Snow White. She was only 18 years old.

Adriana Caselotti struggled to find new employment later in life because she was not given credit for the role. After Jack Benny specifically mentioned that he had asked Walt Disney for permission to use Caselotti on his radio program and been told, 'I'm sorry, but that voice can't be used anywhere', Caselotti went on to have two more film roles. I don't want to destroy Snow White's illusion.

In 1935, Adriana Caselotti played the role of First Peasant Girl in 'The Bride Wore Red'.

The actress made a cameo appearance in The Wizard of Oz, starring Judy Garland; She sang the line, 'Wherefore Art Thou Romeo?', as Juliet in the Tin Man's song 'If I Only Had A Heart'.
