Ameer Abdullah, born and raised in Homewood, Alabama, is an American football running back for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League.

Rated a Heisman Trophy candidate in 2014, he was a Nebraska Cornhusker in collegiate football. Abdullah rushed for 1,690 yds in 2013, the fourth-highest in the University of Nebraska team history for a single season.

In a 28–33 defeat against the Chargers in 2015, he scored his first professional touchdown on a 24-yd running touchdown. The same year, Abdullah made his first season as a starter against the Minnesota Vikings, finishing with six rushes for 9 yds in a 16–26 loss.

Six days after his official visit to Nebraska, he committed to the Cornhuskers. In 2011, Abdullah was among the six true first-year students to play for the Nebraska team.

In Week 17 against Chicago, he contributed 44 rushing yards, seven receiving yards, and 64 kickoff return yards, totaling 115 all-purpose yards in that particular game.

During his time with the Detroit Lions, he contributed both on offense and special teams as a return man in his first NFL season, finishing with a career-high 597 rushing yards. Abdullah also excelled as a return man, achieving career highs with 37 kickoff returns for 1,077 yds.

On October 20, 2019, with the Minnesota Vikings, Ameer Abdullah made the team's longest kick return against Detroit. He returned the kick for 38 yds, marking the team's longest kick return of the season.
