As an executive producer and coveted member of the studio's brain trust, Stanton contributed his ideas and mentorial skills to the animated features 'Up', 'Inside Out', 'Brave', 'Ratatouille', 'Monsters University', and 'The Good Dinosaur'.

On 'Ralph Breaks the Internet', Stanton was acknowledged as a narrative guru who assisted the director and former classmate Rich Moore in developing the story after former chief creative officer Lasseter left Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Animation Studios.
