Ben Swann created a segment associated with CBS46 in Atlanta and Fox 19 in Cincinnati called 'Reality Check'. Ben Swann covered issues that other media shows shied away from presenting, and he presented uncritically acclaimed conspiracy theories in this show. In 2012, Ben Swann had an interview with President Barack Obama about the Kill List theory where direct drone strikes were used against the American citizens, for example, Anwar al-Awlaki.

In 2008, Benjamin Swann joined NBC affiliate KTSM-TV as an evening news anchor. In 2005 and 2009, he won the regional Emmy Awards, and in 2002, he even won the National Edward R. Murrow Award for continuing the coverage of Alexandra Flores. Ben Swann even worked for Christian Broadcasting Network as an investigative journalist during this period. He wrote about the drug war on the Mexico-Texas border.

In 2010, Benjamin Swann left El Paso and went to live in Cincinnati, Ohio. There he worked on Fox affiliate WXIX-TV as an evening TV news journalist, and he co-anchored with Tricia Macke.
