Chris Cole became famous after he started to pull off many impressive skills and tricks quite frequently, including the 360 flip and the switch frontside flip. He attracted particular attention when performing the 360-ollie at Wallenberg High School in San Francisco. He was also one of the few skateboarders who could pull off the 360-kickflip smoothly, a combination of the 360 pop-shove-it and the kickflip.
Chris Cole is credited with familiarizing the skateboarding community with this trick, which has become far more common and recognizable in recent years. He became famous for performing the 360-kickflip down the Carlsbad gap in California, an awe-inspiring feat in his career. The bet concluded the sixth edition of the Battle at the Berrics, a contest where Capaldi got the better of Chris Cole, and he had to hold up his end of the deal. Despite his contracts with several sponsors, Chris Cole had always been keen on maintaining his individuality and launched the unique 666 Chris Cole collection of limited edition skateboards.
