Cliff Osmond worked frequently with director Billy Wilder, appearing in films such as 'Kiss Me, Stupid,' 'Irma la Douce,' 'The Front Page,' and 'The Fortune Cookie.' Osmond appeared as a guest star on several television shows, including 'Gunsmoke,' 'Ironside,' and 'The Twilight Zone.'

Cliff Osmond appeared on 'The Bob Newhart Show' as well. Osmond died of pancreatic cancer on December 22, 2012, at the age of 75, in Los Angeles County.

The American actor was featured in the first 'Twilight Zone' episode 'The Gift' (1962) and played a blind man in the 'None So Blind' episode 'The Rifleman' in 1962.

Cliff Osmond played the police sergeant in four of Billy Wilder's movies, starting with 'Irma la Douce' (1963). In Billy Wilder's 'Kiss Me, Stupid,' he played songwriter Barney Millsap (1964).

He acted in various roles in various movies; 'Invasion Of The Bee Girls' as Captain Peters, 'California Gold Rush' as Harry Love, 'Incident At Crestridge' as Bill McLaren, 'The Six Million Dollar Man' as Sheriff Bob Kemp, 'Knight Rider' as Jim Courtney, 'The Raiders' as Private Jean Duchamps.

The American actor made appearances in other Wilder films, co-starring as Purkey alongside Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon in 'The Fortune Cookie' and 'The Front Page'.
