Craig Morgan is a renowned American country musician from Kingston Springs who is famous for his debut album with Atlantic Records which was released in 2000.

Before becoming a country music artist, Craig Morgan used to be in the US Army as a forward observer. When he began his musical career, he earned lots of fame and appeared in the Billboard Country Charts seventeen times.

His song, 'That's What I Love About Sunday' and six of his other songs reached the top ten. Before being a fully-fledged musician, Craig Morgan used to be an emergency medical technician. He started this career when he was only 18 years old. For more than nine years, he was part of the US Army and a member of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division. He remained in these reserves for more than six years.

After returning from his service to the country, he worked in many other positions such as a construction worker, a Wal-Mart employee and a security guard to support his family and living. He later landed a position in Nashville for singing demos. He used to sing demo songs for other companies and songwriters. From this, he knew that music was his passion and he was determined to pursue this profession as his full-time career. He then gained a publishing contract with Atlantic Records. The demos he created later became part of the album he released under Atlantic Records in 2000.

After Craig Morgan returned to Kingston Springs, Tennessee he got settled and got married to Karen Greer. Craig has five children: daughters Marissa and Alexandra, and sons, Kyle, Jerry, and Wyatt. They currently reside in Dickson, Tennessee. Unfortunately, on July 10, Craig Morgan's son, Jerry Greer went missing after falling off a tube in Kentucky Lake by the Tennessee River. He died in this incident. He was only 19 years old.

Craig Morgan made his debut as a demo singer for other songwriters. His demos were released on his self-titled first album in 2000. The album contained three singles including 'Something To Write Home About'. The album was produced by Norro Wilson and Buddy Cannon. Atlantic Records' Nashville branch closed in the same year. After that, he left Atlantic Records. 

In 2002, Craig Morgan signed a contract with Broken Bow Records. They released a song with Craig Morgan in March 2003 called 'I Love It'. This song reached number 49 at first on the country billboards. Later, the song 'Almost Home' was also on the Top 40 Billboard Chart and after three weeks, it reached the 25th position. The next two singles from the album, titled 'Look At Us' and 'Every Friday Afternoon', reached the Country Charts Top 30. The album sold well over 300,000 copies by the end of 2004. Rick Cohoon from Allmusic said that the song 'I Love It' was 'well-crafted'. 

In mid-2008, Craig Morgan signed a contract with BNA Records and released 'That's Why' in October 2008. BNA then reissued the album in May and June 2009 and replaced two of its tracks with 'Bonfire' and 'This Ain't Nothin'. Stephen Thomas Erlewine criticized the album for having 'uninspired' material. However, Stephen Thomas praised Craig Morgan's style of singing. 

On April 1, Craig Morgan left BNA Records and signed a contract with Black River Entertainment. He voiced as a guest singer for the song 'She Likes To Ride In Trucks' by Colt Ford. His guest vocals were praised.

The first single release of Craig Morgan for Black River Entertainment was titled 'This Ole Boy'. 

In 2015, Craig Morgan came out with his third album with Black River called 'When I'm Gone'. 

In 2019, Craig Morgan came out with a new single music video titled, 'The Father, My Son, and the Holy Ghost'. He dedicated this song to his son Jerry and how deeply he was devastated by his death.
