Among the numerous roles that Dick York is known for, the leading role of Darrin Stephens in the ABC television comedy series 'Bewitched' helped him gain a nomination for the Primetime Emmy award in 1968. Moreover, his performance as an instructor named Bertram Cates in the classic film titled 'Inherit The World' that had released in 1960 has also received immense acclamation.
Before coming into fame, Dick York performed on a CBS radio program called 'That Brewster Boy'. Later, he had been seen in many instructional films as well as Broadway plays such as 'Tea and Sympathy' and 'Bus Stop'. After shifting to New York City, he worked on his debut short film titled 'Insomnia' and eventually kick-started his acting career on the big screen with 'Them!'.
Some of his best works include 'My sister Eileen,' 'Operation Mad Ball', 'Three Stripes in the Sun,' 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents,' 'Kraft Theatre Deputy Sheriff,' and so on.
