Seale spent two seasons with the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre Company in Stratford-upon-Avon before producing and directing theatre plays in the UK and the US. Later in life, he picked up acting again. In 1983's Broadway production of 'Noises Off', he played Selsdon Mowbray on stage. For this performance, he was nominated for a Tony Award.
