Founded in the ’70s, Tilbrook was responsible for creating melodious songs along with his writing partner, Chris Difford. He is not only known for his songwriting skills, but he is also recognized for his vocals and is an accomplished guitarist.

Glenn Tilbrook started his career with a contribution as a guitarist in the demo recordings of the punk band The Ony Ones.

He then became the lead singer and songwriter for the new wave-era band The Squeeze and formed a great partnership with Chris Difford who was the lyricist of the band.

This partnership led to the duo releasing their own album called 'Difford And Tilbrook' in 1984, which produced a fresh sound mix and was released in 2006.

He also toured as a solo career artist from 1999 and released two solo albums titled 'The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook' and 'Transatlantic Ping Pong.' While writing songs for the solo album, he worked with renowned artists like Aimee Mann, Ron Sexsmith, and Chris Braide.

He also performs with the band known as Fluffers, which consists of Stephen Large on the keyboards, Lucy Shaw on the electric bass, and Simon Hanson on drums. The 14-track masterpiece that became very popular was the album 'Pandemonium Ensues'. The work was produced by Tilbrook himself along with Andrew J. Jones and was mixed by Bob Clearmountain.

In 2014, Glenn Tilbrook worked on an interesting project known as 'Songs From A Stolen Spring'. The concept here was the blending of Western and Arabian tunes where Tilbrook worked with the Egyptian singer Dina El Wedidi. The song 'Get Up, Stand Up' was blended with 'Beyond These Doors.'
