Hornswoggle was born in the city of Oshkosh located in the US State of Wisconsin. He was born with a dwarfism condition called achondroplasia.
But he chose to become a wrestler, and he has achieved a lot and has won a few awards as a professional wrestler. Hornswoggle became the most popular when he spent a decade in WWE. Other than WWE, he has also competed in various other championships like Impact Wrestling, DDT Pro Wrestling, GLCW Championship Wrestling, Wisconsin Pro Wrestling, and numerous others. He was born with a condition called achondroplasia, which causes disproportionate Dwarfism, and he did spend his entire childhood in the city of Oshkosh. Hornswoggle was told to be the bastard or illegitimate son of Vincent Kennedy McMahon in WWE but later Finlay confirmed that Hornswoggle was his son and not the illegitimate son of McMahon. Hornswoggle has numerous achievements in his wrestling career. Dylan Postl aka Hornswoggle is one of the shortest wrestlers ever in WWE history. Hornswoggle won the Tag Team Championship Absolute Intense Wrestling alongside PB Smooth. Hornswoggle and Nick Colucci were tag team champions at the ACW Wisconsin, and Hornswoggle with Ethan Page and Danhousen were tag team champions at the Black Label Pro. Hornswoggle is two times HeavyMetalWeight Champion at the DDT Pro Wrestling, one time Great Lakes Championship Wrestling/GLCWHeavyweight Champion, one time Heroes And Legends Wrestling/HLW Minis Champion, one time NWA Wisconsin X Division Champion, one time South Shore Wrestling/SSW Tag Team Champion with Devin Diamond, and Hornswoggle has also won a Wisconsin Pro Wrestling/WPW Tag Team Championship with Nick Colucci.
Hornswoggle is mostly known for his WWE period where he won a WWE Cruiserweight Championship, and in the year 2008, he also won the Mini Royal rumble match. Hornswoggle was ranked 494 out of 500 in the 2021 edition of the Pro Wrestling Illustrated/PWI Magazine.
It was in 2004, that the (FVWA) which is Fox Valley Wrestling Alliance was the start of Hornswoggle's career. Then in 2005, he appeared in two other wrestling championships, the SSW tag team champions with Devin Diamond which they won, and the Wisconsin X Division Championship in 2006.
In the year 2006, he signed a contract with WWE, and in May 2006, he had his televised debut on the Smackdown show. He had the ring name Little Bastard and appeared in a Leprechaun costume, and he was a partner of Finlay in the ring. He was one of the most aggressive players, and it was with his help Finlay won a WWE United States Championship by defeating Bobby Lashley. In February 2007, his ring name was officially changed to Hornswoggle. On Smackdown, Hornswoggle is well-known for his attacks on JBL and Michael Cole. In another episode, with the help of Hornswoggle, Finlay was able to beat Mr. Kennedy. Hornswoggle used a senton bomb move which came to be known as the "Lepreton Bomb" by Michael Cole and JBL.
Hornswoggle was successful at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. He was able to defeat Jamie Noble at The Great American Bash. Although there were various word clashes over the belt, he properly defeated Noble the second time in a Smackdown episode and therefore retained the title.
From the year 2007 to 2008, it was time for the storyline that revealed Hornswoggle and Vince McMahon were father and Bastard son. This storyline continued for several episodes. McMahon started to give Hornswoggle matches that involved competitors who were much higher and huger than him, and McMahon called it "Tough Love". The most notable would be the Hornswoggle vs The Great Khali match where Hornswoggle was defeated. In a later match JBL brought in a big twist in the storyline where he claimed that his father was not McMahon but Finlay himself, and Finlay accepted the claim in one of the future episodes. One of the last matches in Smackdown was against Matt Striker, and Hornswoggle did win. In 2008, Hornswoggle and Finally was drafted to the ECW brand where they competed in a Night of Champions tag team match.
In 2009, Hornswoggle entered the RAW brand and started a Feud with Chavo Guerrero. This Feud led to a long series of matches on WWE Superstars, and later on RAW. Hornswoggle did manage to win each and every series match.
In 2010, Hornswoggle was brought into Smackdown. Hornswoggle was seen competing alongside Titus O'Neil in a tag team match against Darren Young and Chavo Guerrero. Hornswoggle started receiving gifts from a secret admirer which was initially thought to be Maryse, and Hornswoggle started sending gifts to Maryse but the secret admirer ended up not being her. It was later revealed that the secret admirer was AJ Lee.
In 2011, Hornswoggle won a battle royal against Sheamus in the Smackdown holiday edition. After his victory, Hornswoggle was seen in a Sheamus match with David Otunga as a guest ring announcer. In one of the later episodes, Hornswoggle defeated Heath Slater and then was added to a Wrestlemania team. He was not seen for quite a few months and in 2012, Hornswoggle made his appearance with a Randy Orton doll, and then he was again not active for a few weeks. He returned by associating himself with The Great Khali and Natalya, and he was injured after this association by Big E Langston.
In 2014, Hornswoggle had one of the matches of his career where he faced a WeelC match in Extreme Rules, and then a Hair match. His head was shaved after this match. In the month of March 2015, Hornswoggle had to get arthroscopic shoulder decompression surgery. In September 2015, Hornswoggle got suspended for a month from WWE, and in May 2016, Hornswoggle was released from WWE.
In April 2018, he made a special appearance in the Greatest Royal Rumble and defeated Dash Wilder but finally lost to Tony Nese. He again made a special appearance in the 2019 women's Royal Rumble. He appeared in a Backlash 2020 match but the match never aired. From 2016 onwards he has been a part of the Global Force Wrestling, WrestlePro, and WrestleCon under the ring names The Big Deal and Swoggle. He has also been seen in episodes of Impact Wrestling. In 2019, he appeared in Ring Of Honor with his match partner Delirious, and they ended up losing.
