Foley became engaged in this new part of the film industry, working with sound effects where he recorded for films including 'The Phantom of the Opera' (1925), 'The Jazz Singer' (1927), and 'Tarzan the Tiger' (1929), in which he gave the first Tarzan cry. Foley worked for nearly three decades and recorded Foley sounds for films like 'Dracula' (1931) and 'Spartacus' (1960). The first movie in which he added music was 'The Jazz Singer'.
