Since high school, Jesse Moynihan formed his first punk band, Anal Sausage, with his brother Justin and friend Dave Walling. The band lasted from 1993 until six years later when it was disbanded and Jesse moved with his brother and high school friend Brandon Beaver to South Philadelphia. They began a recording studio and formed a new band Hiroshima Nagasaki before Jesse Moynihan joined other bands. These bands included Kuru Kuru Pa, Hiroshima Lemon, and Ivy Labs.

After graduating from college, Jesse Moynihan began working as an animator and soon worked on his most famous work, 'Adventure time' in 2010. A couple of years later, he worked on 'Manly', with his brother through Cartoon Hangover and also worked on 'Alpha Betas'.
