Kate Scott has been an American sports announcer, TV host, and radio host active in the industry for over 11 years, since 2011. Before the 76ers, Kate Scott also covered select college football and the Golden State Warriors.

Kate Scott also worked as a producer, reporter, and anchor doing updates for various radio stations. Some of them include KFOG-FM, KSFO-AM, KCBS-AM, KNBR-AM, and KFRC-AM.

Kate Scott is an American radio host and TV host famous for being a full-time play-by-play announcer of a major men's professional NBA team.

Kate Scott was a four-sport athlete in her high school. However, her athletic career ended after a knee injury. But, she encouraged herself to put her sports enthusiasm and knowledge to work as a journalist. She is now a successful sports anchor who also reports for the San Jose Giants and MLS San Jose Earthquakes.

Kate Scott did an internship at a commercial FM station, KLLC, before her graduation in 2005 from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduation, Scott joined Metro Networks and worked as an anchor, producer, and reporter. In 2007, she did her first on-screen television reporting for CSN California's Cal football.

In 2011, Scott joined KNBR full time, providing sports updates as a morning sports contributor and sometimes as a substitute radio host for the AM station KNBR. She covered the San Francisco Giants in 2014, during their World Series.

After five years with KNBR, in December 2016, Kate Scott joined Pac-12 Networks, and she became the first women play-by-play announcer for their regular season football game. After which, Scott also appeared as an analyst and also as a play-by-play announcer with Olympians A.J.Mleczko, hockey player and analyst.

From September 23, 2021, Kate Scott became the television play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers. She now became the second woman full-time play-by-play announcer for a major men's professional sports team after sports announcer Lisa Byington for the Milwaukee Bucks.

After the 76ers, Kate Scott also co-hosted the 95.7 The Game in San Francisco sports talk show 'The Morning Roast'. The show was number four in the U.S.A. Scott left the show in less than a year.
