Kevin Ollie who is also known as Kevin Jermaine Ollie is a basketball coach and a retired basketball player.
He was a head coach of the University of Connecticut men's basketball team and is now the director and head coach of player development for Overtime Elite. Overtime Elite is a professional basketball league founded in 2021 and is owned by Nik Visger for talented players who are between 16 and 18 years old.
In 2010, Kevin Ollie retired from professional basketball and in 2012, he joined UConn as an assistant coach. He then got promoted as a head coach of the University of Connecticut after the retirement of coach Jim Calhoun. Jim Calhoun had coached Ollie when he was a basketball player.

Kevin Ollie is one of the four American coaches who won an NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. In 2011, he guided Connecticut Huskies as an assistant coach helping them to get 11 straight postseason wins. In this game, they won five games in five nights for winning the Big East Tournament Championship. The team won the NCAA Championship for men.
Before joining as a coach, he played for 12 National Basketball Association franchises and it was with the Philadelphia 76ers in three stints. Ollie was a game-changer. In 1995, he began his career with CBA, and from 1997 to 2010, he played in 13 seasons. From the 2008 to 2009 season, Kevin Ollie was the captain of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
When Ollie was the coach of Connecticut Huskies, the team defeated Florida on December 2, 2013, thus ranking in the ninth position.
In 2014, in the First Final Four national semifinal of the NCAA Tournament, the Huskies defeated Florida and the Kentucky Wildcats for the fourth NCAA men's championship of Connecticut in fifteen years. In December 2012, both Ollie and the University of Connecticut agreed on a five-year deal and Ollie signed a five-year contract with UConn in 2014 which was worth $2.8 million each year.
Ollie was fired on March 10, 2018, and was charged with 'failure to monitor' his program. Ollie filed a grievance for getting a back pay of $10 million. Since he got fired from Connecticut, he has not worked in basketball.
