This well-known Korean actress is best known for playing Bae Su-Yeon in the horror movie, 'A Tale Of Two Sisters' in 2003, and in the hit romantic comedy 'My Little Bride' in 2004. In addition, Moon Geun-Young won a Baeksang Arts Award in 2009 for her work on the television show 'Painter Of The Wind'.

When Geun-Young was only 10 years old, she began modeling. The following year, she played the part of Eun-Suh in her debut television series, 'Autumn In My Heart' in 2000. In this series, she co-starred with the famous South Korean performer, Kim Joo Hyuk.

Moon Geun-Young participated in her primary school's play in the third grade and developed a passion for acting. Moon Geun-Young urged her parents to send her to an acting school after her performance in the play. Her parents first rejected Moon Geun-Young, but she persisted. Moon Geun-Young requested her parents again the following year when she was in the fourth grade of elementary school. At this point, her parents responded that they would send her to acting school if presidential candidate, Kim Dae-Jung won. Kim Dae-Jung triumphed in the 1997 presidential election, which was fortunate for Moon-Geun-Young. By the sixth grade of her education, Moon Geun-Young had enrolled in a Gwangju acting school. The institute forwarded her resume to Seoul while taking acting classes there, and the following year she was hired as an extra for a couple of television dramas.
