Queen Maeve of Temra is an evil queen set on defeating Kells, a peaceful kingdom. She uses a rune stone to summon monsters which she sends to destroy Kells. The King of Kells sends the leading man of the series, Rohan, a druid’s apprentice, on a quest to find Draganta, a prophesied hero.

Ned Dennehy plays one of the villains, the Lightning Bat of Temra. A bat-headed member of the Four Sentinels of Temra. Knights of the realm must defeat the sentinels to earn their Mystic Armor. The Lightning Bat’s weapon is a bat-shaped boomerang.
