The weather conditions of Florida are usually pleasant, if not a bit hotter than usual. Summers in Florida are dominated by heatwaves and torrential rains every couple of years. Temperatures range between 70-90° F (21-32° C) in the summer around March through to July; the climate is semi-tropical. St Augustine is consistently hot almost the entire year, with afternoon thunderstorms common. The winters are the opposite, with cold temperatures between 30-60° F (-1 to 15.5° C) in January. There are 300 days of warmth, so the best time to visit would be on a sunny day around July.
