Robert Smigel is an American writer, actor, director, producer, comedian, and puppeteer mainly known for 'Saturday Night Live TV Funhouse' cartoon shorts and the voice behind the Insult Comic Dog 'Triumph'.

He was the writer for 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan' and the first two 'Hotel Transylvania Films'.

Smigel was born in New York City to Lucia and Irwin Smigel. Irwin Smigel is an innovator, aesthetic dentist, and philanthropist. Robert Smigel is Jewish.
