Where do Milwaukee pickles come from?

Milwaukee pickles are nothing but the usual pickle with cucumber but with varying spices, and flavor. They come from fermenting cucumbers.

The Milwaukee dill pickles are another type of pickle made with varying ingredients, however, they are made with green cucumber. This type of pickling process involves using the right amount of vinegar brine, making the pickles safe to eat. Deep layers of spice give provide flavors to the cucumbers. By removing the flower ends off cucumbers by trimming, it makes the pickle soft as enzymes are removed. Ingredients used include small cucumbers, salt, juniper berries, mustard seeds, whole allspice, cloves, coriander seeds, turmeric, bay leaves, cinnamon stick, ginger, white vinegar, dill weed, garlic, white onion, and sugar. Cucumbers must be placed in a saltwater bath for some time while the brine is being prepared. The fermentation by Lactobscillus bacteria in the acid brine solution gives the preserved cucumber a sour taste. All the ingredients are cooked to dissolve the sugar, spices, and salt, and then it's cooled. Jars are rinsed well and garlic, mustard, onion, and dill are divided between the jars and pressed to the bottom. Pickles are packed firmly in the jars and brine is added. After refrigerating for about 3 weeks, the pickles are ready to eat.
