Yusuke Murata started his career as an artist at a very young age. He discovered his passion for art at the age of 12 when he entered a Mega Man contest. He won twice in the Mega Man contest, and later on, his sketches were adapted to the manga. The character of Dust Man in Mega Man four and the character of Crystal Man in Mega Man five was taken from his sketchbook, and he got equal credit for it. By the year 1995, Yusuke Murata started his professional career as a manga artist.

In 1995, Yusuke Murata became the manga artist for 'Partner' in the Weekly Shōnen Jump of 'Shueisha.' The following years went a little quiet for our favorite artist. We again saw him come behind the scene for the 1998 'Samui Hanashi.' The next work that he was a part of was the 2002 'Kaitō Colt.' He published both works in the magazine version of the Weekly Shōnen Jump. In the same year, Yusuke Murata published his famous work 'Eyeshield 21.' He worked alongside Riichiro Inagaki in one shot for 'Eyeshield 21' in 2002. Later, in the same year, he started working with Inagaki for their manga series 'Eyeshield 21' which lasted for seven years until 2009. 'Eyeshield 21' became massively popular among children and youth. After 'Eyeshield 21' closed its curtains, Yusuke Murata started working on 'Madufuki Park' in the 2008 issue of 'Jump Square.'

After working with 'Madufuki Park', the manga artist went on to work with the 2008 manga series 'Hetappi Manga Kenkyūjo R', which lasted until 2010. Amidst the series running, Murata worked on the series, 'Blast!' In 2010, we saw him with his work in 'Minds' and 'Donten Prism Solar Car', which continued for one year until 2011. It was a story of a young person who received a request to build a solar car and is an ironworker. In the following year, Yusuke Murata sided with One in their combined project titled 'Dotō no Yūshatachi.' The duo again created the manga 'Dangan Tenshi Fan Club' in the same year.

It was the year 2012 itself when Yusuke Murata would go on to create the series that baffled everyone and what the world would come to know him for. He created 'One Punch Man' alongside One, which eventually went on to become a massive success throughout the manga universe and all around the world. The manga series is still continuing. He sided with One and Kinu Nishimura in 2013 to create the one-shot manga 'Monster Of Earth.' In 2015, Yusuke Murata created the 'Gokiburi Buster' single-handedly. In the same year, we could see the manga artist making the manga variant cover for 'Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows.' The following years saw him creating the manga variant cover and the Japanese edition cover of 'Spider-Island #3' and 'Spider-Verse' respectively. In 2016, Yusuke Murata started to create and publish 'Mangaka Yashoku Benkyuusho' in Kodansha magazine, which was ultimately released in a single volume in December month of this year.

However, it is known that Murata and Inagaki, during their promotions of 'Eyeshield 21,' attended the 10th comic exhibition in Taipei, Japan. In the exhibition, they donated an autographed signboard.
