Anne Helm's family life was in Ste. Marguerite in Canada, where she grew up with her father, John F. Helm, a real estate broker, and Isabel Helm, her mother, who ran a dairy farm and an inn. Later that year, she appeared as Joanie in the finale of the modern western series, 'Empire' titled 'The Convention'. She also guest-starred as Janie in the third season episode titled 'Narcissus On An Old Red Fire Engine' of CBS's TV Series 'Route 66'.
Anne Helm played Nora Martin in an episode of 'The Fugitive' named 'Ballad For A Ghost' in 1964 and appeared as Sable Delacroix in the 'Burke's Law' episode titled 'Who Killed 1/2 Of Glory Lee?'. She also played Amy in ABC's 'The Long, Hot Summer', which ran from 1965 to 1966, and appeared in ABC's western series 'The Big Valley' twice. Anne played Jeanne Springer in the Season three episode of 'Twelve O'Clock High' titled 'Long Time Dead' in 1967. The actress played recurring roles in ABC's 'General Hospital'. In 1986, Anne Helm appeared in an episode of Steven Spielberg's 'Amazing Stories' titled 'The Doll'.
After retiring from acting in 1986, she began writing books for children under the pen name Annie Helm. In 1992, she published 'The Sunshine Angel Book For Angel Workers Of All Ages', and the following year she published 'The Little Angel Workbook For Children Of All Ages'. Recently, in 2018, Anne published a book titled 'Babystar'.
