'Yankee,' his next play, was produced by Sabina Berman, who was Jewish. In 1988, he was cast in a play written for him by Luis Eduardo Reyes named 'Interés Social,' for which he won the National Theater Award. A year later, alongside Angélica Aragón, in 'Loco Amor' ('Fool For Love') by Sam Shepard.
