Brian Anthony Boitano, famously known as Brian Boitano, is one of the most famous United States figure skating personalities who has a remarkable place in the history of figure skating.
He was born in California on October 22, 1963. He is famous for his achievements as the Olympic champion as well as the World Champion in 1988.
He also has the title of World Champion associated with his name for the years 1986 and 1988. From 1985-1988 he has remained the US National Champion. His performance in the 1994 Winter Olympics had bestowed him the sixth position.

In the free skate program, he did the checkmate with his technically clean performance and became the gold Olympic champion with all pride and honor.
In the following years of his career after the Olympic competition, he became a World Champion five times and secured four wins at the Challenge of Champions.
He has the credit of inventing a difficult form of the triple Lutz which is called 'Boitano triple Lutz'. In his version of the posture, the left arm of the skater is raised above the head.
In 1982, he became the first skater to land a triple Axel. In general, a triple axel is considered a challenging move.
In the 1983 World Championships, he succeeded to land the six triple jumps and gained the recognition to be the first skater to do this.
At the 1988 World Figure Skating Championships, he tried the quadruple jump but was not able to land successfully.
Brian Boitano has a nonprofit organization called Youth Stake that aims to introduce the sports of ice-skating to the new generation. The game is presented to them as a safe and fun activity that students may do to have fun after their school activities.
The organization provides ice skating lessons to students from grades fifth to ninth.
The superintendent of the San Francisco School's Office selects the children to whom the lessons will be provided. The program has benefited more than 10,000 students in the past 20 years.
In 2000, 'Blade' magazine declared him one of the major skaters of the century.
