Bruce Bowen is an American former professional basketball player.

His playing career started 1993–2009, when he was qualified for the 1993 NBA draft after completing his four years of education qualifications, but he missed the playoffs. Between 1993-1997, Bruce played for five distinct groups, starting his professional career with the French group Le Havre.

Bruce Bowen played for Évreux and the Rockford Lightning in the CBA 1995-1996. In 1997, he made his NBA debut, when the Miami Heat marked him to a 10-day contract. He had one game, one moment, and one block surprisingly. He got back to the NBA in the 1997-1998 season, having been endorsed by the Boston Celtics. In his first full year as an NBA player, he showed up in 61 games

From 1999-2000, Bruce joined the Philadelphia 76ers for the NBA season. Afterward, he was managed to the Chicago Bulls, who immediately dropped him, before being lifted off waivers by the Miami Heat. He was re-endorsed by the Heat the following year and had a breakout season. He became famous as a defensive stopper and gained the 'All-Defensive Second Team'.

From 2001-2002, Bruce Bowen was endorsed by the San Antonio Spurs for another NBA season. He joined a championship-caliber squad that included veteran Hall-of-Famer David Robinson and outstanding players such as Tim Duncan, Steve Smith, Malik Rose, Antonio Daniels, Terry Porter, and Tony Parker.
