Bryan's series of graphic novels, 'Scott Pilgrim,' is primarily about a slacker and musician who lives in Toronto, Ontario. The character is shown to play bass in a local band and falls in love with an American delivery girl Ramona Flowers. The series narrates the various adventures and problems Scott, the main character, faces from Ramona's seven ex-boyfriends to date her in peace.
The series consists of six digest size black-and-white volumes, released between August 2004 and July 2010 by Portland-based independent comic book publisher Oni comics. Bryan Lee O'Malley is the writer and artist of his novels.
