Cedric made his debut in 1992 after signing with the Phoenix Suns. He went on to play with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, and Miami Heat before leaving the NBA and playing for various basketball leagues all around the world.

Cedric Ceballos made his NBA debut in 1990 as part of the Phoenix Suns. He remained with the Suns until 1994, after which the Los Angeles Lakers recruited him. He returned to the Phoenix Suns in 1997 and continued to play in the NBA until 2001, subsequently joining the Dallas Mavericks, the Detroit Pistons, and Miami Heat.

Upon retiring from the NBA, he signed with Las Vegas Slam of the American Basketball Association (ABA) before a brief stint with the Harlem Globetrotters exhibition basketball team. Ceballos attempted to go International in 2002, when he signed with the Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israeli Basketball Team, but was unfortunately waived after just a couple of games. Afterward, he moved to Russia, joined the BC Lokomotiv Mineralnye Vody, and took part in the Philippine Basketball Association as part of the San Miguel Beermen.

Ceballos returned to American Basketball in 2003, having signed with the Sioux Falls Skyforce team of the NBA G League. He later shifted to ABA from 2005-2007, playing for the Los Angeles Stars and Orange County/Maywood Buzz. He played for the Phoenix Flame for a single season in the International Basketball League before returning to Maywood Buzz for the remainder of his professional playing career. Cedric Ceballos retired from basketball in 2011.

He is a part-owner of the Arizona Scorpions, who play in the American Basketball Association.
