But it was Columbus's first of three collaborations with writer and director John Hughes for the 1990's famous film 'Home Alone' that cemented his place among Hollywood's elite list. He made the third 'Harry Potter' film series 'Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban' (2004), which was directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
