Dan Campbell used to be the assistant coach from 2010 to 2015, for the football team, the Miami Dolphins. He worked as an assistant head coach and a tight end coach from 2016 to 2020 for the New Orleans Saints. Presently, he has been the head coach of the NFL team, the Detroit Lions, since 2021.

Dan Campbell's professional career debuted in 1999 when he was selected in the third round of the NFL draft with the New York Giants. He began with four games and was a member of the team in Super Bowl XXXV. In 2001, he then became a tight end and also played as a blocker.
In 2003, he became part of the Dallas Cowboys and their head coach was Bill Parcel. In this, Dan Campbell served as a blocker in the offensive line and Aaron Jason as a tight end. 

On March 14, 2006, Dan Campbell joined the Detroit Lions and played as a blocking tight end. On February 9, 2009, he left the Detroit Lions. 
On February 26, 2009, Dan Campbell became a member of the New Orleans Saints with Sean Payton as their head coach, who was also the offensive coordinator of the NY Giants and Dallas Cowboys. During the entire season, Dan Campbell was injured and could not participate in the Super Bowl.
Dan Campbell's coaching career started in 2010 when he was appointed as a coaching intern by the Miami Dolphins. He was later upgraded to tight end coach and then promoted to interim head coach in season 2015.
