Daniel became the first doubles tennis player in ATP history to grab 1000 games in January 2016. Between April 1994 and April 2018, he was rated in the top 100 for doubles in 1134 weeks in a row. He went to Earl Haig Secondary School in APGA (Academic Program for Gifted Athletes), a specific sports program. Olympic gold medallist and 80-time men's doubles champion. Daniel Nestor, a talented tennis player based in Toronto, Ontario, plays in the Davis Cup for the US. In 1994, Daniel Nestor and Mark Knowles earned their first doubles title in Bogotá, Colombia. Daniel Nestor and companion Sébastien Lareau earned a gold medal at the Summer Olympics 2000 in Sydney, Australia, Canada's only and first medal in tennis. During their career, the partnership received four more titles jointly, the most notable of which was an ATP Masters 1000 victory in Canada. Nestor gained one title, partnering with Kevin Ullyett, and two alongside Sandon Stolle after the Olympics.
Partnering with Lina Krasnoroutskaya, Daniel reached his first mixed doubles final in the 2003 US Open. After that, he got to the finals of the 2006 Australian Open as well as the 2006 French Open and won the 2007 Australian Open mixed doubles match alongside partner Elena Likhovtseva. He played in the second-longest match in Wimbledon history, spanning six hours and nine minutes, on July 5, 2006.
Daniel Nestor grabbed three Grand Slam doubles championships with longstanding partner Mark Knowles from the Bahamas. The pair won the Australian Open in 2002, the US Open in 2004, and the French Open in 2007.

Nestor gained 91 men's doubles titles with various partners.
