Before launching her independent label, 'Dirty Pretty Things,' Delaney Jane rose to fame as a guest vocalist on several hit dance tracks, including the Juno-nominated 'Limitless.' In 2018, she launched her formal debut solo track, 'Bad Habits,' which was a commercial hit.

She released two independent singles in 2017 and 2018, 'Howl' and 'Hotel Room,' respectively; however, 'Bad Habits,' her second single of 2018, has been described as her first solo single. The latter song became her highest-charting single on the Canadian Hot 100, her first top-ten on a Canadian radio chart, and her first record of getting a Platinum certification from Music Canada. Delaney Jane's debut studio album, Dirty Pretty Things, was released on November 22, 2019, following a string of other singles.
