In 1992 he joined hands with El Santa to form a tag team, and they were called the Atomic Pair. This was a famous name for the Asistencia Asesoría y Administración in Mexico.

His next partner was Art Barr. However, before they could join the Extreme Championship wrestling as a pair, Art Barr passed away.

Eddie began a new journey in Japan and was known as the black tiger reincarnate. He appeared in the New Japan Pro Wrestling promotion and won multiple junior heavyweights titles. In 1995, he joined the World Championship Wrestling, where he was a jobber. At World War 3 events, he appeared in feuds that paid per view and won titles under the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

In 1996, he started winning one title after another and was on a winning streak, especially the United States title for Heavyweight Championship. Eddie Guerrero went on to win the Cruiserweight Championship in 1997. In 1998, he formed his championship, the Latino World Order. However, this did not last very long as Eddie had an accident and was hurt. When he recovered and returned to wrestling, he formed The Filthy Animals by partnering with Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr.
