Elissa’s full name is Elissar Zakaria Khoury, but she is best known by her stage name, Elissa.
Elissa is a Lebanese-born recording artist. Elissa is a well-established and prominent name in the Arab world.
Furthermore, Elissa has earned the title of becoming the most popular female Middle Eastern artist. Elissa was awarded a World Music Award, making her the first Lebanese artist to ever receive the award in 2005. Then, in 2006, the award was again won by her. Moreover, Elissa has a record of selling 30 million copies worldwide; this depicts her music's power and dominance around the world.

Elissa released her first album in 1999 under the name 'Baddy Doub' with EMI Music Arabia.
Throughout her career as a female artist, she collaborated with various talented artists, including the famous Gerard Ferrer, a legendary Spanish singer. Not only that, opportunities were knocking at her door, and Elissa got to sign a brand deal with a shampoo brand called Head & Shoulders, which she did gracefully, emerging as an inspiring Middle-Eastern associate for the brand.
Moreover, the best-selling artist has collaborated with many other fellow artists, and her fourth collaboration was with Jouwa ElRoh (ft. Fadel Chaker).

Elissa gained recognition and appreciation for standing up for such an important cause. In 2018, in Beirut, Elissa was selected as an ambassador for breast cancer awareness.
