His full name is Eugene Alden Hackman. Hackman has won several awards. Some of these are two Academy Awards, four Golden Globe Awards, one Screen Actors Guild Award, and a BAFTA award.

He joined the Pasadena Playhouse in California, where he met another actor named Dustin Hoffman. Despite getting low scores, Hackman moved to New York City. To support himself financially, Hackman used to work at Howard Johnson's restaurant. He has been previously nominated for several other films as well.
