When playing in the National League Championship Series, Greg Luzinski gave at least one home run in all three matches. He played in the National League for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1976 to 1978.

However, the Philadelphia Phillies did not reach the World Series. In the 1980 National League Series, he played against the Houston Astros and beat them in five consecutive games. Those games against Houston were the biggest games of his career and the most significant.

He stayed with the Philadelphia Phillies for a long time before joining the Chicago White Sox team and becoming their top slugger. At the end of 1984, he became a free agent after he hit grand slams in two consecutive games.

After he retired from playing professional baseball, he became the Head Baseball Coach in 1992 and became the Head Football Coach for the Holy Cross Academy in Delran Township.
