In 2011, Hilton Carter, who had previously worked as a freelance filmmaker, was struck by the concept of plant parenting. Five floor-to-ceiling windows in the location were ideal for his 'green pets'. A few months later, Hilton named a huge fiddle leaf fig 'Frank' and added staghorn ferns to his nursery. He still owns the plant, which is affectionately referred to as 'Treezus', and it is one of his favorites.
