The Los Angeles player, Greene, signed an agreement with the UCLA Bruins baseball team to play college baseball. After that, he signed with The Billings Mustangs, an independent baseball team of the Pioneer League of Rookie-level Pioneer League. Greene played as a designated hitter as well as a pitcher. He made total 4 ⁄3 innings by pitching appearances thrice for Billings and batted 7-for-30 as a designated hitter.
