DeGrom also pitched for the Savannah Sand Gnats of the Class A South Atlantic League and the St. Lucie Mets of the Class A Advanced Florida State League in 2012. The Mets transferred him to the Major League on May 12, 2014, when his teammate, Gonzalez Germen, was injured. His MLB debut for the New York Mets was on May 15, 2014.
