Jairus Kersey is an American musician, who is best known as the lead vocalist of the short-lived alternative rock band, Alive Like Me.
He first began the band with his childhood friend and the band's bassist, David Knox, in 2013. The two found the remaining three members of their band through a Craigslist post and began making music together.
The band worked together until 2016, when they went on hiatus and went their separate ways.

His career took off when he formed the rock band, Alive Like Me, in 2013, along with bassist David Knox. They posted a Craiglist ad looking for a drummer and guitarist, which led drummer, Joel Riley, and guitarists, Dakota Dufloth and Brandon Banton, to them. All the band members got along together extremely well and they began writing and performing songs with Kersey as the lead singer. The members moved to Eugene, Oregon, to live together and focus on their goals.
Shortly after, they signed with the record company, Rise Records, and began working on their debut studio album, 'Only Forever', which was released in October 2014. Their debut song was 'Start Again', followed shortly after by 'Slip Away'.
The band toured North America and Europe together after the release of 'Only Forever' and was part of the lineup of the 2015 Warped Tour alongside numerous bands.
Unfortunately, the band has been on indefinite hiatus since May 17, 2016, with no news of a possible comeback yet.
Jairus Kersey lives in Oregon with his wife, Acacia Brinley, and their three children. It is not known what he is up to nowadays. He did make regular appearances on his wife Acacia's YouTube channel. However, she recently quit social media to become a stay-at-home mom, so not much information is available about the family's current activities. Before retiring from social media, however, Acacia did share that Jairus is working on several music projects and looking to make a possible comeback into the music industry.
Apart from music, Jairus Kersey has shared that his hobbies are photography, traveling, learning new things, reading books, and surfing the internet.
