Varney co-hosted 'The Hollywood Show' with Brian Unger, was a regular on Norm Macdonald's sketch show 'Back To Norm', and was an ensemble member on 'Crossballs', all for Comedy Central. She also appeared in the Fox sitcom 'Happy Hour', which aired for a brief time. Varney featured in the reality show 'On the Lot', short films like 'Random Acts Of Kindness', 'Eternal Waters', 'Die Hardly Working', 'Worldly Possession', 'Keep Off Grass', 'The Losers', and 'Dress For Success' in 2007. She played Eve, a recurrent character in Randy And Jason Sklar's online series 'Back On Topps'.

She began acting in the HBO television series 'Entourage' as television producer Amy Miller, who works with Eric and Charlie, in 2008. Varney was also cast in the film 'Best Player', alongside Jerry Trainor and Jennette McCurdy. Varney as Sheriff Evie Barret in IFC's 'Stan Against Evil', opposite John C. McGinley.
